I typically stick around the middle range of loads, enought to cycle the slide & give usable velocity. A few mousefart loads. I take unexperienced shooters out occasionally & want it to be a pleasant experience.

Did some chrony testing on 9mm hot jhp loads, don't remember seeing flow into firing pin channel on handgun loads.

This is from a Springfield Hellcat toward the top of the ladder, pretty snappy.

That debunks the 'science' of firing pin impressions. They all look like they could have come from different guns.

The edges of the primer are still very radiused and not flat and square. What does the firing pin hole look like on that gun? What's your load?

Was this meant to be purple?
Cause all those nearly identical indentations, and swipes, have an ejector mark clocked exactly (as best as we can tell, looking at a photo, and not thru a microscope) the same, relative to the direction of the FP swipe.

@Sigblitz , am I taking you too seriously, lately?

I've studied them closely and no 2 are exactly alike.

The extractor marks also. What grain were you shooting?

Looks to me like striker drag accentuated by marginally increased velocity?

Striker drag can be a part of the characteristics of a short slide striker gun…

What do lower velocity loads look like in the gun?

Don't have pics handy of the lower velocity ones, but they had striker drag as well.
