Funny how the average Republican and the average Democrat when placed side by side are starting to remind me of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern.
I would have thought Rubio bright enough to realize that this would end his stint as the golden boy of the Tea Party. He either thinks that this is a dying base or else isn't nearly as bright as he has been presented as being.

My guess is that in the process of trying to keep his head down and avoid the fight so he can jump into the next fight of his choosing without starting off with a bloody nose from this one, he failed to look behind him and see his base about ready to kick him to the curb.
As he tries telling the left he isn't one of those crazy extremists, but rather a 'responsible' conservative, he forgot what happened to such a noteworthy 'responsible Republican' (read RINO) as Richard Lugar.

No, he was not steamrolled, he willing admitted to being ok with registration.
Marco Rubio is no longer reliable. I will not vote for any ticket that has him on it.
I dropped him last week when he proposed citizenship for 12 million illegals.
His folks came up in '56...they didn't have the stories to tell.
I'm guessing there are a lot of folks in Hialeah that aren't all that pleased with Mario right about now.
