Mar '12 1500: Night sight installation price

I asked one of the vendors how much to get some night sights I had installed on a Sig p238 that I had. He said $40.00 that seemed really really really high? I was in a hurry and didn't ask anyone else.

My gunsmith said he may have to cut the factory sights out of my XDm to put in my Trijicon night sights... He was able to get them out in one piece ... so I have "spares" I guess . He did say they were a huge PITA.

I had a set of Trijicon installed when I bought my G26 at Midwest, Mishawaka. Never was a very accurate weapon. Does the cost of installation normally include a test firing or warranty that the new set is accurate? I would like to have night sites on my Taurus but I hate to mess with a piece that is very accurate.

Apologies for the but I thought you folks would be able to offer some guidance.

On guns that we are certified to work on (Glocks, S&W M&Ps), we install the sights free if they are bought from us. On sights purchased elsewhere, we charge $15.00. FWIW.

Yes $15 dollars sounds a whole lot better. I'm just going to install them myself. I'll post pictures when I'm done.
