There is a Glock doc there that will install the new sites for you, but I don't know how much he charges or what sights he has on hand

there are a couple Glock specialists on site. Both will have sights but I don't remember what they carry.
I doubt either will want to do a trade for yours but I would guess someone on INGO might be interested. How old are they?

I wouldn't let Nick The Glock Doc touch anything I owned.
He is not a certified Glock armorer. Glock will not allow him to re certify. All his certificates he posts are expired.

any idea WHY they wouldn't let him re-certify? I do remember looking at his stuff and its WAY more expensive than others at the 1500.

I'm not familiar with the guys in particular.....and I'm all for finding least expensive solutions.....but first off, one places "certification" is another's Microsoft Word printout.....an armorer "certificate" doesn't make someone an expert by any means no matter WHO it's from.......I've known gunsmiths with 40+ years experience and never had a manufacturer's "certificate"..but I'd put their skills up against ANYONE currently on the market...secondly, if a certification expires does that mean they loose the knowledge/"know how" on a device whose design relatively hasn't changed

I absolutely agree with almost everything you say, but I took the comment that he was once certified, but that they would not let him re-certify.

There is usually a good reason for an organization to not allow someone to re-certify. But either way I won't buy anything from him when I can go across the aisle and save +/-30%

Advertising himself with their name while not working in an official capacity directly for them would be grounds enough for them not to be willing to recertify........again, certifications are :poop:........but certainly, go where it's cheaper for such an easy job

    Glock HD sites

Never use the glock doc. I had him do his "triggerjob" on two of my glocks and both affected the safely and the reliabilityof the guns. If he would have stopped at just swapping out the 5.0 poundconnector for the 3.5 he would have beenfine, but he went the extra mile and also swapped out the fire pin spring aswell with somthing noticable weaker. This caused the problem of light-strikes which resulted in a type 1malfunctions and the trigger being too soft and going off when I didn't want ittoo when facing down range.

After that I went out and bought the glock armor book offEbay and started doing my own work on my glocks and it is quite easy if you canread and are mechanical inclined. I've also become a fanatic of the newTrijicon HD sites and I LOVE THEM! It is amazing the difference you getespecially when you amp up the speed. Ihad to pay 100 bucks for a tool to push off/on the rear sites, but consideringI own 4 it worth the cost vs paying someone else to do it.

If you don't mind having your warranty voided by using a non Glock certified armorer, have at it. Glock is a DIY'ers wet dream, easy to learn how to work on, etc. And that's cool, I suppose.

The thing about the GlockDoc; he lies. About his certifications and many other things (converting US Marshall guns to full-auto, etc).

    Can't stand a liar.

I ran his first website, I was there when he had me remove references to Glock Factory certification. I considered him a friend, but too many inconsistencies began to pop up.

    Can't stand a liar.

If you can, more power to ya.
