loose forend on remington 1187 police

I bought set of wood stocks of my 1187 police to replace the synthetic speed feed set. After installing I noticed how much wobble and looseness there is in the forend. any ideas on how to remedy this?

Install the gas cylinder collar which also supports the front end of the forearm!

Your barrel may also have a smaller profile than the standard field barrel.
