Need to pick up a family members vehicle from the west coast. Emergency happened and I need to get it asap.

I would hugely caution you about buying a trailer at a bargain price when you need to use it right away. Before going anywhere with a used trailer you need to grease all the bearings , make sure the brakes and lights work the way they should, the wiring is not chaffed, and that the axles don't have any serious bends that will eat tires in short order. Then there are the bolts and bushings that need to be checked.
