Had a couple people request some composite bars and pen blanks.
    So... I did a thing.

This is the first popped out of the mold. The pink was labeled orange from manufacturer, but
I think I like it. Have to see what customer says.

Pics just don't capture the chatoyancy.
(the colors are just a representation. once cut into, the pattern will be vastly different)

I'm considering trying my hand at making a knife.
Something like this one below, so at least it's useful.

Took many cad classes in highschool and at ivy tech doing this kind of work to realize I don't like sitting behind a computer that long. It was fine and dandy for school.

My dads father gave me a print he was a part of from years ago. It is about 3 feet tall and 10 or so feet long. It was just one of 3 or 4 for this particular part.
I can't say I entirely disagree with you. It's hard to sit here all day, however I can't really complain when it's either 100° or 0° out. My last job was awesome because I worked in the office and in the field depending on what needed to be done that day. There is a certain comradery in the field you don't really get in an office, and you usually don't risk falling asleep at the desk.

I've seen plenty of old school prints, but never something that big. I bet that was hell to keep intact in the field.

If I can find it, I'll post a pic....
As to the rest... yeah, there are days I miss having an office job. Any day in an attic for one.

    Do it!

Btw, I love the blocks you made me, they look awesome! The dark ones are going on my first Damascus project, just got to cut them to size. Have you ever done any with wood?

The blade was ordered and supposed to be here Monday.
The Mrs. chose the stainless over the Damascus, but it is for here after all.
Being my first, I'm sure I'll mess up something.

I've cast mixed media in the past, however, this particular material isn't the best option.
I also don't have the equipment to do it anymore.

And just like the food and restaurant threads on prices, composite prices have jumped significantly.

We all know who to credit for it.

Those are really nice. I started making holsters myself about a year ago mainly due to having and going through guns so much its never cost effective to buy them. now i want to start trying to make some like those.
