I’m looking at buying one soon. Will mostly be used with my air rifle and starling hunting. And maybe later with my ar-15. What’s a good one around $200 or so? Any advice.

I can only speak for Bushnell so far. I first bought the 450 model. It ranges to 200 yards but can be +or- 5 yards of error. I upgraded to the 1000 arc for $199. It's more accurate and I have ranged deer at almost 600 yards. I've heard that sig kilos are great as well as vortex, but they are usually out of your price range

I also have the 1000 ARC. It works well for both bow and rifle hunting.

I also have the Bushnell ARC for archery and coyote mostly. Haven't priced them in awhile, but I imagine they are still under $200. I believe mine is the 1000 scout, but I've had it quite awhile and can't remember without going to get it.

I like my Athlon Midas 1200. Its MSRP ($420) is grossly overpriced, but for the $200 I paid for mine it's a quality piece (it also comes with a lifetime warranty). Holds up well in heat and extreme cold. Have had mine for a year or so now, and no problems. Still on the same battery as well.

I got a good deal on a Vortex Ranger 1500 a couple years ago and I’ve been super happy with it. I think it was under $300. More than I wanted to spend, but I don’t intend to buy another for a long time.

I have a Sig Kilo 1800 that set me back $179. It’s been great so far. It pairs to your phone and can be loaded with ballistic profiles. Range something and it will toll you how many MOA or mils to adjust.
