    Are throwing knives illegal in Indiana? I know that throwing stars are, and i know that switchblades and a knife that can be propelled are as well. I cannot however find anything on throwing knives. Please enlighten me.

    ...I know that throwing stars are...

    Yeah. :facepalm: Don't get me started.

    I mean, come on Indiana... throwing stars? :dunno:

    Really???

    Just what sort of made-for-television fantasy ninja assassinations was our legislature trying to thwart with that one? :n00b:

    :xmad:

    Dang, now I need another Tylenol.

    Not for sure but a few years ago Cheaper Than Dirt wouldn't ship throwing knives to Indiana. This does mention throwing knives but it seems up in the air to me;
    IC 35-47-5-12
    "Chinese throwing star" defined; related offenses
    Sec. 12. (a) A person who:
    (1) manufactures;
    (2) causes to be manufactured;
    (3) imports into Indiana;
    (4) keeps for sale;
    (5) offers or exposes for sale; or
    (6) gives, lends, or possesses;
    a Chinese throwing star commits a Class C misdemeanor.
    (b) As used in this section, "Chinese throwing star" means a throwing-knife, throwing-iron, or other knife-like weapon with blades set at different angles.
    As added by P.L.318-1985, SEC.2.

    It's really not up in the air.

    Throwing knives are fine. Throwing knives with blades set at different angles are illegal.

    Same with throwing-irons and other knife-like weapons, they can't have blades set at different angles either.

    They obviously thought it was the angles that kill. :):
