I’ve owned both and have had no issues with either. Sig represents a higher level of value to me in that my Sig 1911s have come with front strap checkering, stainless MSH, night sights, extended controls, G10 grips, magwells and better finishes. For near the same money, my Kimbers came with plastic MSH, rubber grips, cheap finishes, 3 dot sights and smooth front straps. They were great guns for shooting but just didn’t reflect a real level of value compared to the Sig 1911s. I needed to do nothing to the Sig other than shoot it a bunch before I could carry it. The Kimber needed a bunch of parts before I was comfortable carrying it.
