Big stink that popped up last night in Broad Ripple I think. Now deceased artist had painted a mural on the side of a building with the owner's permission. Building was just sold to a new owner, who repainted the entire building as part of the refresh. Now people are butthurt because the new owner dared to do what he wanted with HIS building. And some are saying they eliminated the painting because the dude wasnt white. SMH
I hadn't seen that angle. Saw people were upset because they loved the guy and respected him. He wasn't another George Floyd.

Correct. The art itself wasnt controversial per se. I actually thought it was good art. He was talented. But I wouldn't want it on the side of my house or business. And if I had purchased the building for my business I would have done the same thing.
They are just butthurt that the new owner would dare to do what he wanted with his new building. One of the comments on the news story was "They wouldnt have painted over it if the artist was white!" ( and lots of others claiming its racist too)
