Inspired by the INGO Drummer/Percussionist Thread, I wanted a welcoming homecoming for any INGO member who plays the accordion… Or any of it’s varieties:
    • Squeezebox
    • Concertina
    • Melodeon
    • Stomach Steinway
    • Windbox
    • Button box

A memory from the Slovak Club in Gary, where I washed dishes and cleaned. "the better the accordian player, the more beer we sell" . Lots of Polka nights back then.

    Mamas got a squeeze box
    She wears on her chest
    And when Daddy comes home
    He never gets no rest

    Cause she's playing all night
    And the music's all right
    Mama's got a squeeze box
    Daddy never sleeps at night

I actually like accordion music! In the right hands, it’s very expressive. Then again, I also bagpipes, so…

    Accordian? Not so much.
Bagpipes? Now there is the powerful instrument able to unnerve the strongest!
Never heard of an accordian leading men into battle......but bagpipes, oh you bet!

Of course it may help that I am half scottish.

During a recent exercise at Grissom, we had a rule that if any hand held radios were found unattended, an exercise evaluator would bring it to Exercise Control. Then, for five minutes, the players would be hear this lovely song. Great way to teach radio security.

Had one a roommate left behind. Since left it at the curb and posted on fb giveaways page. Someone grabbed it quick.
