I have a soft spot for single-shot .22 rifles.
I don't know why, but there it is.
Looking through the back of the safe this weekend, I ran across an impulse buy that I'd forgotten about.
It's a Savage model 74, single-shot, falling-block action.
The stock is a little scratched here and there, but the bluing is in good shape. The butt plate is missing and it has no sights, but it does have a rail. Looks like it's probably a Weaver rail.
I had completely forgotten about this little gem.
I'll likely refinish the stock myself, but does anyone know where I might locate a Savage model 74 butt plate?
