    Not Indiana, but our neighbors to the west are looking into lowering the FOID age to 18 with no need for parental consent. Still no right to carry, but perhaps a step in the right direction if this passes?

    18 should be old enough to decide to be armed--even in Illinois

    The FOID age was not stated within the original law as such, as some guy applied a few years ago, and received one for his newborn son. It caused a bit of an uproar by some.

    I'm presuming the law is still arbitrarily utilized of ISP to reflect political sentiment, instead of following the law and just a kneejerk reaction for the age 21.
