    Great looking AK sartwell.
    You said it was a conversion I take it that it was a Saiga.
    What did you do to convert it?
    Yes it's a Saiga. I replaced the fire control group and trigger guard, and moved it forward where Kalashnikov meant for it to be. I then added the pistol grip where the trigger was and added the forearm and stock. I was a little nervous about cutting and gutting a new gun, but it was worth it.

    Did use a press on handguard retainer or the bolt on? I ask because I have a bolt on coming from dinzag for a 308 I'm converting( I used a press on for my x39) The rifle looks great, I wish mine was a dimple.

    awesome. i was just googling pics this morning of converted saiga rifles using the Galil style handguards. I'm ordering my saiga very shortly but probably wont get around to converting it till the summer. Nice job, this picture just got me real excited.
