You'll probably like the new 92X Si then being SAO.
Well I would, if I could get over it having a dang forearm rail on it. I don't like rails on pistols..

Yeah I know I am weird..

Thankfully my 951 (M1951) fills the role of SAO. I have a 1975 alloy version.. The last two years of 951/1951 production used the same lighter alloy used for the 92 series. It really makes the thing one light, handy, pistol... of all my Berettas, it is probably my favorite.

Yeah its got the early Beretta trademark. The crossbolt button safety. (Early Beretta 70 series pistols had them too), I kinda like it, its easy to kick off, but kind of a headache re-engage.

The other hallmark of a lot of 50s and 60s Berettas was not putting the model number on the pistol.. only the box and the manual had it. My 951 is another of these. So 951 or M1951? I dunno, I call it a 951.

Yeah, if rails bother you you're not going to have many choices left in the market.

Now a 92 F Compact joins the fleet.

I dunno who had this before me, but the last owner of the magazine installed the mag spring backwards, so it didn't lock the slide open.

I should have made a mention, but AIM surplus one evening had posted a load of 92 series up. There was a 92, a 92S, a 92 F, and two compacts 92 F and 92FS.

You could have had in one go, the entire mainstream history of the Beretta 92 in one order. Plus a 1951 predecessor for good measure.

I saw some LAPD new old stock 4 inch barrels the other day. So they could put them in Beretta Cougar 8045F

Every time I see a Bobcat. I think of Will Smith’s Noisy Cricket from MIB.

Every time I see a 92/M9, I start feeling the need to watch Lethal Weapon.

I keep looking at Beretta shotguns, and not just that new tactical model, but the high dollar engraved over under as well

Check this one out. Supposed to be out soon if not already.

The compacts were always my favorite, I had several M model single stacks over the years but those are hard to find now.
