    bought a Ruger P95 roughed up to all hell for around 250. Was a load of fun...tilll i realized i wasnt the problem...the barrel was shot out and bullets went where they pleased...

    Beretta 92 FS back in 1988 or 89. Still have it. Paid around $500 for it. Saved for months for it.
    Once I got into the car, I loaded a full magazine and slapped it in and slipped it (sans holster) inside my waist band of my jeans.
    To say I was an idiot is an understatement.

    According to the receipt, $663.99 for a brand spanking new S&W 4006, with night sights (which, amazingly, are still bright a little over 21 years later).

    I don't know where I came up with that kind of cash back then...
