How much was your first handgun?

Curious. I'm debating spending kind of a lot, or not a lot. It'd be interesting to see what you all did.

My first handgun purchase was a kel-tec p-11 with belt clip and ammo for 280. It's not so much about the price, it's about what you like and/or need.

I had an A-100. It was OK for the money.
First hand gun...14 yrs. old and bought a .22 revolver with 2 boxes of ammo from a friend for $20. It was a colt cub and I still have it.

PF9 for around $300, then an XDm for 600

Beretta 92 FS back in 1988 or 89. Still have it. Paid around $500 for it. Saved for months for it.
Once I got into the car, I loaded a full magazine and slapped it in and slipped it (sans holster) inside my waist band of my jeans.
To say I was an idiot is an understatement.

According to the receipt, $663.99 for a brand spanking new S&W 4006, with night sights (which, amazingly, are still bright a little over 21 years later).

I don't know where I came up with that kind of cash back then...
