    I need 4k cell and battery backup. I also want an option for professional monitoring if I want. Option for geofencing. Integrate cameras and also home automation and ability to connect to other party devices and IFTTT plus z wave.

    Beware, simplisafe (and ring and other consumer grade systems) stores the video in their cloud. Some folls video has ended up on the internet. I realize Most folks don’t seem to care about their privacy or even understand that it’s at risk, but I will only consider self contained systems for myself.

    ease of setup is the lure.

    We went with ADT at the new place. Not living there but have touched off the alarm a few times. Quick text and phone call to me each time.

    Didn't opt for the camera package, and the sales guy even helped talk me out of it. Might get a couple Ring door bells once we start moving in and get internet access over there.

    Sadly my bullet magnet passed away and the spouse doesn't want to get another one... yet
