HELP! refinishing grips and need advice!

Im interested, how did you remove the bluing? I have alot of older blued rifles that I would like to strip down w/out gouging out the metal if possible

Naval Jelly (a jellied phosphoric acid) coat the parts & let sit for 10 minutes then dunk them in cold water to stop the chemical reaction.

Make sure that you wear protective gloves & goggles when working with the stuff.
