Help choosing high power rifle

Out of these calibers, which would be best for small game on up to deer? Range is not important.

I was looking at a 700 VTR. It comes in 308, 243, 22-250, 223, 204 and 17rem fireball. Thats why Im thinking 243. I wish they had 270 cuz thats looking like a great caliber.

Either 308 or 243. If you would be hunting mostly small game I would say 243. If you would be hunting mostly deer I would say 308.

i have a weatherby 30-06 with a 12 power scope, like brand new i would be willing to sale for $700.00. i have put three boxes (60 rounds) through it and can shoot 1/2 inch group using 180 grain load at 250 yards. let me know.

I have a Howa M-1500 Ranchland Compact in .308. In my opinion .308 is the way to go, no question!
