Just gave my wife her Mother's Day loot. Daughters are taking her out to lunch later today.

Then CKW and I are driving west to pick up a rifle for me. I will be giving her an extra on her cut today....

Lost my Mom 2 months ago. Told myself to give her a call today then remembered she was gone. Cherish the time we have been given with them. It will be gone before you know it.

Lost my mom 19 years ago, and my wonderful step-mom 8 years ago. The world is a much different place without them. Celebrate your moms and don`t think they`ll be around forever.

Going to visit my mom this afternoon at her assisted living facility. She just turned 99 last month and is starting to slow down, so we don't know how many more Mothers Days we'll have with her, so we definitely cherish the time we do have.

Dad is 90, he`ll be 91 in October unless the Lord takes him home before then. Congrats on having your mom for such a long time!

Nah, seriously my teachers loved me. I kind of lead a "double life" though, especially in high school. I was always up near the top of my class, took accelerated/college prep courses, was in band and gymnastics, etc.. But I also hung out with the "burnouts" too.

To be fair, in the era you grew up in wasn’t practically everyone considered a “burnout”?

Oh no. I definitely had two distinct groups of friends. Now obviously there was a little overlap in some cases, but there was a pretty clear dividing line in general.
