Awhile back someone was looking for EAA Witness Tanfoglio 10mm magazines. I can't remember who so thought I'd start a thread about handgun magazines so people can post good deals on handgun magazines, and hard to find handgun magazines.

Whenever I'm contemplating a new firearm purchase, magazine availability and cost always comes into play.

And that's why I've never had an hk (really always wanted a p7m13, though. Who wouldn't?)

i have purchased some recently for different pistols, have only had one mag on the vp9 that didn't hold open after last round the other 3 did, think there have been some quality improvements from 30 yrs ago, yeah i learned the hard way years ago but looking at tons of reviews they have gotten better on pistol mags.

I tried them 30+ years ago and have never tried them since. Have they improved over the years or still produce junk?
My experience had been mixed. I bought 6 ProMag Ruger SR9 mags to use with my PC Carbine. They were coated inside and out with some kind of shipping grease/preservative that I had to clean off. They have run fine. The 10 round ProMags I had for an M&P Shield were good for malfunction practice. The ProMags I had for a Ruger EC9S worked with no issues.

The S&W Model 422 mags I just bought, branded S&W, had the same issue with grease coating them as the last ProMags and needed to be cleaned, so it's not just ProMag who does that.
