Things got a little rowdy this year. There was an unsuccessful coup attempt and the perps were strung up on the nearest tree.
Now they are looking for Elf on a shelf!

The last one, in pink, THATS A MAN, BABY!

Yeah, it does kinda look like it, doesn't it? My wife thought it was unique because she had never seen a nutcracker of the character "Clara" from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker ballet. Now I'm wondering if it's really "Fritz"! I figure she's holding another nutcracker.... so it's a twofer. :):

My wife buys my daughter a new nutcracker every year for Christmas. She's 12....there's probably 8 of them out there right now. Just opened up the latest one. Who knows how many she'll have by the time she's our age.

    That is cool schafe.

iroc, if your daughter is that young and starting her collection now, she may give schafe a run for his money.

I like your collection! My mom (aka Santa) gave me one for Christmas maybe 40 years ago. It was made in Germany,

Do you ever use them to crack nuts?

    That's neat !!
For us, it's just a lot of fun. Early on in the collecting, we didn't put them out one year, and it really disappointed our daughter and granddaughter. Turns out they enjoyed it at least as much as we did. Now they are adding to the collection. They added four just this year, and they are even collecting a few of their own.

It's fairly certain that if I attempted that, there would be no safe hiding place.
Sounds like yours is a real keepsake.
