So. . . . have an incident on the road, pull over to confront the person, throw the first punch, get your ass beat, THEN pull the gun to intimidate (not under immediate threat of death or grave bodily harm).

FAIL on every level.

Every single bit of that could've been avoided, even if the young kids did cut him off, by driving away.

ETA: I just noticed that the wife had the gun first, then gave it to the husband. So was it in the glovebox?

Interesting note provided in the link above-- apparently the guy left the scene, then later returned and fired shots. And the couple had their toddler with them.
