GunBroker is cheaper than Walmart

Walmart in Fishers has several cases of .40 Winchester WinClean 165 BEB (Brass enclosed base) target ammo for $32.97 ea box of 50. Felt a little steep. So I checked gunbroker.com and they have auctions where people are not even buying it for $23.50/box in case lots, or $25.00 in 4 box lots. By the way, I bought all the 9mm they had.

They had about 20 cases of the 40 winclean when I was there yesterday. I thought I had finally timed a stop right until I saw what they were....

A 250 round box. There were two but there was another gentleman that came up while I was getting the ammo so we shared. I try to only get what I plan to shoot, plus a little reserve.

Are you sure the stuff in the Gunbroker ad was WinClean? Winclean (not WWB) is HORRENDOUSLY expensive in general. I remember the 9mm variant used to be roughly 20 quid a box, but WWB used (at the time) to be 8 a box.

WinClean isn't worth it in my mind. Reduced lead vapors and clean priming isn't enough for me to justify a third or two time the cost of normal ammo...

At the Fishers Wal-Mart I bought six boxes of the Winchester Winclean .40SW BEB tonight. The price is now $9.00 per box of 50.

Yes, that's right. Nine dollars. It's red-tagged like it's on clearance, but they had many loose boxes of it. There may have also been some closed cases of it, but I didn't pay enough attention.

The six-item limit still applies.
