There is a good chance I will find myself in the previously mentioned vicinity in the next couple of weeks.

I plan on stopping in at Midwest and ZX.

Any suggestions on other places to go or stay away from?

Suggestions (and opinions) are much appreciated!

Those are the two that I buy all my firearms from in the area.
There is a Granger Guns in Granger which is very near Mishawaka. Not sure if he is still open. there was talk he was retiring. He has reloading stuff there.

Steve will be closing down Granger Guns this month. He is looking for an auction company to come in to sell off everything. He is selling off guns at cost or below. Reloading stuff is still list, which was always pretty good.

Thanks! I really appreciate the suggestions.

I might add in a stop at Granger Guns...sounds interesting.

I don't believe I've ever heard anyone reference Rocket Guns, but I can put it on the list.

There is a Doug's Guns in close proximity to Midwest Gun and Range. How about them?

    Google is also showing:

    Indiana Arms and Ammo
    Indiana Defensive Firearms
    Guns Plus Gear
    T&Z Armory

All south of South Bend. (If Fort Wayne is "The Fort", is South Bend "The Bend"?)

    Anything there or any endorsements?

    Near Fort Wayne
I've had good experiences with ZXGuns. Bought a handgun from their Fort Wayne location two weeks ago.
I've also bought a rifle before at their Goshen location.

I've never been to, but a friend of mine has made purchases and recommends Rocket Guns in Goshen.

    Back down south
Indiana A&A is ok. Steve (the owner) is a nice guy, but he doesn't keep a lot in stock. I bought my XD40 4" there. He's hampered by the neighborhood.

Also check out Belcher's. He's got a storefront now, but he was still operating out of his garage when I moved last fall. He's a good gunsmith.

Man, I lived there 7 years and bought from almost all of those shops.

    Belcher-did a spring swap on my 77/22.
    Midwest- S&W 327PC
Granger Guns-had some old stock .357 magnum he let me have cheap. I think I bought 5 boxes-all he had.
Tactical Components-I had John put a glassbead finish on my stainless GP100 He's a good guy
    Rocket-my wife's XDs9
    ZX-XDs45 & SR1911
A guy out on 331 did a transfer for me and had some primers I needed. Can't remember who that was.
I even picked up a Mosin from Dunhams in Mishawaka last year.
Stopped and picked up lots of ammo at most of the shops as well.

Don't know if Kodiak is still in business, but I won't do business with them.
    I don't miss Len, either.
