Well, that may be a data point in the "Open carry vs conceal carry" debate... Was the first victim chosen because he was open carrying, so the criminal wanted to get him out of the way?
    I don't know that answer. It's a fair question
the current article suggests that he just happened to be walking in the restroom as the bad guy was walking out of the restroom. But perhaps details will come about.

unfortunately it doesnt make sense given the narrative. Story is that after he was engaged by the hero, he tried to retreat back into the restroom and checked out due to blood loss.
If the good guy was behind him in the restroom hallway, he wouldnt retreat TOWARD the defender. Which doesnt make a lick of sense.

I don't think we know enough about it to have any relevance on OC/CC. Did the guy shoot him because he saw a gun on him? I kinda think that 20 year old kid has a lot on his mind at that point. It spent an hour in the shitter trying to get ready for it. He's probably a bundle of nerves. Walks out of the bathroom and sees some dude. I think it's more likely he shot him because he was there. Do we even know if he was OC'ing?

No doubt. Unfettered Social Media access should be viewed as child abuse.

Likes and comments on social media produces dopamine.

Think about it the next time you see that little icon next to the bell.

You get a little shot a dopamine. It makes you keep coming back.

It’s the same dopamine that is created with drugs, alcohol, porn, gambling etc.

That’s one of the reasons they’re addicting.

We have laws that try to keep that junk from those under 18/21.

Social Media is just as addictive and possibly more damaging for teens.

And yeah, not a fan of doping up kids either.
Are you saying social media can treat parkinson's?

    Just found it funny, sorry.

Being inside the mall, he was probably concealed.

It's certainly possible that it was just random chance. But if the bad guy saw someone carrying, that person would be his first target. I guess time will tell once full details emerge. In this early stage, half the "facts" coming out are just abject rumor...

The other thing I'm interested in is the "40-50 yards" claim. While that is within the realm of possibility, is extreme, nearly unbelievable range for a handgun in a dynamic situation like this. I suspect it's really "40-50 ft" which is still very impressive to put all rounds on target while engaging. This isn't a gun range where you can sit, take your sweet time, and not worry about being shot back or about hitting a bystander.

The Twitterverse is awash in these demands and wanting him doxed so they can exact their Social Justice Warrior Lynch Mob revenge on him to cancel him for life. If they have their way, he'll be fired from his job, expelled from any school he's in, and evicted from where he lives. They are RELENTLESS at this - pursuing him like Kyle Rittenhouse (and they're still pursuing Rittenhouse).

I kinda think that he's in an area where he's not as vulnerable to cancel culture. Here, he's a hero. Every honest Hoosier is proud of that kid. **** the SJW lynch mob.

Unfortunately not all innocent lives could be saved, sincere condolences to the families.
Many were saved because Eli was there AND armed. Real people know he's a hero, the libs don't matter squat.
40 yards is impressive marksmanship for a conceal carry tool. Curious to learn what he used.
I thought they said it was a Glock. Didn't say which.

The first person shot was named Gomez. He supposedly had a handgun. He reportedly was walking into the restroom as bad guy was walking out, hence Gomez was shot first.
Different "moment" than when the bad guy retreated back in the restroom.

Has anyone else noticed these ****s NEVER go after the real murderers? Almost as if their moral* compass more closely aligns with said murderers than with people acting for the good of others even at risk of their own life. Hhhhmmmm.

    * Note that the actual existence of "morals" by these **** stains has yet to be definitively proven.
