I got ahold of a Remington 700 finally and would like to put a better scope on it. Is there anything out there under $200 thats gonna work good for me? Its gonna mostly be a target gun but want to be able to hunt Coyotes or Deer with it.

If I can ever get them back in stock the new 4-12 Redfield has been well received by my customers.

With tax, a bit less than $175 out the door.

ya cpt. caveman, I second that. I own 2 3X9-40 nikon scopes and the optics are great. but what ever you get--XD--plz heed my advice and DO NOT GET a BSA contender. They are complete junk.

I put a 6.5-20x50 Whitetail Classis on a friends Savage .17HMR that was ordered from Natchez for less than Midways price. I was really surprised by the quality of the glass for the money. Bushnell makes OK glass too....its not Leupold or Zeiss but not everyone can afford that. I've got a Bushnell Banner 6-18x50 on my .223 and it hasn't failed me yet. It was a toss-up between the Whitetail classic and the Bushnell.

Natches has several brands of scopes on sale right now.

Natchez Shooters Supply - April 2010 Sales Flier - page 21http://catalogs.natchezss.com/F042010/t1.asp?src=BA1244

I have been looking at some of the milet long range side focus scopes myself. They are more than 200 but less then 300. I like the easy grip knobs for your adjustments. Still a lot of good scopes on sell at Natches.

I have decided on a whitetail classic. I looked at Natches but they didn't have any whitetail classics.
