Being a newcomer to this awesome state, I’m trying to learn as much as I can about its history, events, and people who made it what it is, and teach the kids about our new home.

What books would you recommend on Indiana history?

I’m interested in all the range, from dry history, biographies, first-hand accounts, to elementary kids’ picture books. I can handle (and enjoy) realistic, nuanced takes, but don’t do newfangled “woke” versions.

If you have some great historical books or historical maps you are willing to sell to an appreciative reader, please let me know!
