I love my 1911's. They carry well, I shoot them better than any other handgun I own, and the weight is reassuring on my belt.

I do carry a Glock 26 some times though, only because there are times I just dont want to subject my 1911 to being covered in sweat, and possibly getting rusty from being in my waist band for hours on end on a hot summer day.

I was looking at that on armslist I think, beautiful 1911!! Glad you like it and I also just got rid of my Glock to get a different pistol. Think I am going to go with a Beretta 92FS. Enjoy!

I got my first 1911 a few weeks ago too. I did however keep my XD40sc for carry. I love shooting the 1911 at the range, but it is just too big and heavy for EDC. You have a great looking 1911. Good call.

Nice 1911A! Now you can start shopping for some "Grim Reaper" custom grips, and a lot of magazines. You can find quality 8rd and 7rd mags everywhere. Holsters are a plenty also. Try ball then some HP's to ensure reliability for carry. Springfields are a good score. Have fun.
