1. It's nice the recall is going forward, because it will be a hassle for Newsom. But in reality, it has a zero percent chance of succeeding. California is far too liberal, and that's not going to change.

2. Newsom and / or Obama are too late to run for the Democratic nomination. However, if Joe drops out (due to "health" reasons), the Dem convention would pick his replacement and I suspect those 2 would be lead contenders.
