This really needs to go to someone who will appreciate it. As you can see, I bought it and it's sat in the safe since - I never even cleaned it off!

I don't know if the metal has been refinished, or just in super shape. Stock is new production with CMP cartouche.

Have the certificate from CMP that goes with the gun.

I've not had it apart, nor checked any parts. It's just like it came from the CMP.

IIRC, the specials come with a new commercial barrel and new wood...

Apears to be a Service Grade Special, cmp says "HRA collector grade metal in excellent almost new condition. New Walnut stock an handgaurds." Looks like a nice rifle at a fair price.....I'm drooling...an thinking....

DragonGunner; You are right...I looked at the CMP site and that is what is says and would explain the grease.

Kind of confusing "Service Grade Special" and "Special Grade".

If I was closer, I think I would have to have it...
