I can't find then anymore, but Scottsdale Gun Club's website had some G17's with select fire conversions on them for about $1200 or so.

[EDIT]: Here's what I was talking about, although it's only a few pictures and not for sale: Gun Blog » Archive for kit

I heard there are only a couple of the high powers that are transferrable. The price I was told was 75 k. Thar would buy a bunch of other guns with happy switches.

If there are only a few floading around, the price, it comes down to what a high rolling collector is willing to pay for one.

I know someone that has a Glock auto. I think it is 9mm but not for sure. I have held it but never fired. I hope to get him to go to the range with me sometime. He also as an MP5, M16 and the entire Uzi family. Man I wish I had his collection.

Wouldn't a FA pistol get hot as well as possibly get unwieldy to shoot at a target? If you need a small buttstock attached, then get a bullpup FA. And lastly, don't go advertising on here that you have one or BB might pay you a visit.

as far as the f/a pistols getting hot ; yes and no. the post sample glock 18 or a posty g17 only have 33 rnd max capacity. we have run half a dozen mags thru one consecutively and they are hot but not the grip . some f/a pistols are much easier to handle that others. the glock is one of them. are they easier to fire with a stock or a foregrip ; you bet. since they are legal smgs they may have these parts on without being an sbr. but if the f/a parts are removed or transferred to another weapon as in an hk sear pack, the stock and foregrip must be removed before removing the registered parts or you have created a sbr and what was legal is now illegal. this does not apply to transferable pistols that are already registered as mg's themselves. when i take out the registered trigger pack on my hk 53 pistol to place it in my hk51 pistol , i must remove the stock and pistol grip forend 1st and place it back in legal pistol configuration . it is a hassle and stupid but i do it because it is required. i have shot my pistlols f/a with no stock or foregrip and they are ok but not ok. if you practice alot with smgs you can become fairly proficient with almost any combinations but given a choice i will put a stock (an ace folder) and even a forgrip on it for good control and accuracy. very few safely and accurately control a stocked smg well and fewer control a pistol well in f/a. spray and pray are not cool in smg's
