Just got a note from our daycare that they will be closing due to freezing rain tonight and tomorrow. I only see a little note about freezing rain tonight and nothing but warmer temps for the next 48 hours. Is this legit or are the media outlets using the weather to create a news story? I typically use Weather Underground for my info.

It's 28° and raining up here in Elkhart right now. I thought it wasn't supposed to start until later.

I discovered my front porch and steps were covered with ice just a little bit ago. I noticed ole Waylon sliding and thought... that don't look right, wonder if that is slick or something. Then I had to try to navigate that while ole Waylon kept pulling on his leash as hard as he could trying to kill me so he could eat me.

Lotta warnings in my weather app, but it's also showing that it's 39 degrees here now.

App shows precipitation starting at 2:00am, with temps right at freezing then...

Last night's weather indicated from .1 to .2 inch in the Lafayette area. Co-workers in Peoria are iced in now with about 1/4 inch. I'm expecting it is legit, but won't be long lasting.

My weather map shows rain/ice starting after 8pm and stopping in the early morning. Most of it looks like it’s north of Indy.

When I checked this morning before going to bed, looked like it wasn't supposed to move into the Indy area until around 6pm or so.
How awesome, that could make driving to work tonight interesting. Likewise driving home in the morning right as the morning rush gets started. Could be a long night

Just walked (slid) out to the mailbox and back. The driveway and sidewalk surfaces are glazed in ice. It could be rough out there tonight and in the morning.
