I have never used them myself, but some folks I have spoken to said that they are fairly cheaply made and do not wear well to actual hard use. (seams and stitching popping, things of that nature)

It would depend what you were intending to use it for, methinks.

Is this from experience or hearsay (not discardable). What would be the standard
To gauge "hard use" for civilians?

Do either of you know of a good chest rig that is similar to this setup?

I have had Troops try there stuff out before on several occasions, you know trying to save a buck and supplement or improve on the crap We are issued. I will let them use New untested gear in Training, I will not let them do that in a Real World Situation. None of the Fox Gear has ever made it through a 2 week Field Problem without some kind of problems...

There are entirely too many Companies out that Make Excellent Gear at Honest Prices to risk your life on something that may kill you...

As far as a Good Chest Rig look at Tactical Tailor...

    Or ATS...

    Or Eagle...

    Or Condor...

I am sure there are others these are just 4 off the top of my head...
