Will be making this short trip in the near future and should have some extra time on the way back. Any suggestions for gun shops I should visit along or reasonably close to the route? Thanks.

Both of these are very small, low-inventory shops but still well-worth it. They will almost take you back in time. Frank's was my go-to shop for EVERYTHING when I still lived up that way. Just note Frank's is a home-based shop that is only open evenings certain nights of the week and a few hrs on Saturday.

Sportsmens is fun. Also look into Hummel's, just about a block south of the arched bridge on 27 in Portland. There is also a shop called One Shot Sports on E. Main just about a block east of 27.
