“Our contacts in the special operations community told us that they have been looking for a lightweight, heavy-caliber, semiautomatic rifle that cures the delta between 800 and 1,200 meters,” Vallely said in a press release. “Our R&D team, which is made up of ex-spec ops and engineers, went to work immediately and the result is the OMEN.”
The OMEN is chambered in a .300 Win Mag caliber and has been successfully tested in other calibers, including .30-.06, .270 Win, .338 Win and short-mag configurations.

I must say, it's an aesthetically pleasing weapon system. :)

However, would most SpecOps guys, looking to hit something reliably 800-1200 yards out, prefer a semi-auto over a bolt-action rifle?

My buddy sent me a pic of that a couple months ago. Had a chick shooting a unicorn. It's a cool idea....I'll take two and the Ti AR they made! I'm curious about the barrel life and how long other parts would last.

I'll keep the kidney I would have to sell and live with my 700P win-mag, probably shoots better anyway. At least that's what I'm going to tell myself....

I got to meet the people behind NEMO this last SHOT. Really good folks who decided to make the best they could.
