    Great work!

When do you think you'll have an AAR?
After Action Report - Fired 10 rounds so far. Have to work on the sights. In all honesty it was 90+ and high humidity, sweating very hard and not much fun.

All hit the target at 35 yards 3" low - right 2".
After cleaning the rifle I filed the front sight and drifted the rear slightly. Will try again in a day or so.

Still, very nice. What finish did you use?
Sanded the stock to 400 grit, whiskered (apply water and resand) twice. 2 coats of Permalyn sealer, lightly sand with 400 grit. 4 coats of Tru Oil, sanded after second coat. Let cure fully, about 5 days, depends on temp and humidity. Then I rubbed the finish out with rottenstone and mineral oil to level it.
