A 460 will get the same crap mileage as a 351 just like the V10 will get the same mileage as the V8, only difference is they actually have power.

Yes it may be close at certain times like towing but the rest od the time I'll take the smaller v8's.

mid 2000's 5.4L in a 1/2 ton will probably make similar power to a mid 90's 460 in a 3/4 ton. but get nearly 50% better mileage...

Don't really know how you are coming up with this as a truck is a package not just an engine. Rear end ratios and transmission differences (as in stick vs automatic) means as much if not more than engine size. If you care to show you reference material I would like to see it.
