    Nice!
Is it a pre serial #?
I have one from the late 60's, no serial #. It was my Dad's.
If its a pre serial #, on the bottom of the receiver by the barrel hinge will be a small oval with a letter code in it. Over on savage shooters ( Savage Shooters - Home ) there is a guy named Maddog that can date it for you.

It is serial numbered, but I also noticed that the barrels may have been shortened to 26", the muzzle end just doesn't look right. I'll try to bust some clays with it tomorrow, if I can break them I'll keep it..... "Edit" Nope not shortened. I measured the chokes, the left side is full and the right side is modified.
