    Hmmm... interesting... I know it's just a technology demonstration but all the objects they are throwing have "indexing" or locating balls on them. That is what the computer is picking up on (you could see them on the screen). I think it would be a pretty big step to go from a pre-programmed object with locating balls already on it to a random object without such devices...
