    Saw that today. Though I hate his life was taken, often guys like this have an agenda. He purposefully placed himself in harms way, and probably contributed photo/stories that are currently placing the lives of servicemembers at risk... (ie a pro-intervention slant).

    All in all...RIP; and I loved Restrepo

    Yeah, I do agree about guys like that often having an agenda but I do appreciate the work that was done on Restrepo. I don't feel that placing photographers/video teams with service members simply for the sake of a story is a good idea because it can make them seem like a "higher value" target in that (even with agendas) the video (like Restrepo) ends up creating more awareness and shows the "common man" what is actually going on and possibly creating more concern, since most people are so self-absorbed that if it doesn't happen to them or directly affect them, why should they care?
