Decent price for mossberg 50

So as I was helping at the ammo counter at my store today I made up my mind on buying a 500...
and Google fu isn't proving effective with this question.. But would $279 be a decent price for a basic 500?

It depends are you wanting to buy a new one? I've bought 500s for as low as 100 bucks. I just picked a all black slug gun rifled barrel for 160 on armslist

12ga Mossberg 500 should go new for $350 or so for a combo, that is bird and rifled slug barrel.

its all new with I think a 28in barrel, vent rib with accu-choke, comes with 3 chokes, wood stock.
