The ironic thing about what happened to Weideman here is that the same thing happened to Anderson Sliva when he fought Weideman years ago.

For those that don't know the significance of that video: Chris Weidman is one of the best MMA middleweights ever. Several years ago, Anderson Silva (who was at the time undeniably the best Middleweight ever) was fighting the same Chris Weidman who broke his leg last night. During that fight, Silva threw a similar leg kick and broke his leg in almost the exact same way against Weidman's shin. The fact that Weidman breaks his in the same way last night is just crazy.

After that Weidman fight last night, MMA fans were in for a treat. 3 title fights which were all bangers ending in no later than 2nd round finishes. One of the best fight nights i've ever watched
