How do you choose which gun to take and refit head to toe? I tried to search for 1911 frame & slides for doing a matched set, and just kept finding 80% things.

How do you choose which gun to take and refit head to toe? I tried to search for 1911 frame & slides for doing a matched set, and just kept finding 80% things.

Finding a used gun with acceptable frame to slide and in this one I wanted a stainless. WT had this one I was relentless.

On a ground up you just have to know what you want and where to find the components.

AllenM forgot to do the barrel melt on it and I an going to enhance what I have already done as to softening the edges.
