Cupcakes or Doughnuts?

The problem is most cupcakes are bland with frosting that's toooo sweet and makes my teeth hurt. Doughnuts (why doughnuts and not donuts?) are usually easier to find good one's. Long's for example....AMAZING

The American doughnut can be consumed as a breakfast item; supplement a brunch; used as a bun for a lunchtime hamburger; desert for dinner; and a 2AM snack. Who knows when to eat a freakin' cup cake?! The doughnut gets my vote and the best that Indiana has to offer comes from Long's Bakery. I think they use a half-stick of butter for each one.

Dynamo Donuts and Coffee in San Francisco makes an awesome maple donut with bacon.
