Do new members have to be admitted now? When I joined I just created a profile and was in. No one had to add me to anything that I can recall.

I'm thinking so. When I registered, it sent me an email, then I clicked on the link in the email, saying I was registered, but pending approval by an administrator.

We are averaging at least 10 new members a day and more some days. I counted 21 on the approval Que a few weeks ago.

The "Thanks for the add" is a Facebook thing. Because most groups require a admin or mod to approve them to join the group, hence the "add". Every time I see this in a personal weather station group that I'm a member of the admin team, it's like , awe heck we got another live one.
