We tend to scoff at the beliefs of the ancients. But we can’t scoff at them personally, to their faces, and this is what annoys me...

Easy there, Rearend. I didn't say it wasn't useful to anyone. I seconded "strange" and there have been some funny posts.

Reading this thread requires thinking differently. Really.[I know I got a little excited. I did say maybe. I will keep posting things that come to me. Please feel free to contribute at anytime.]

You can use a baking soda paste as a general stain remover. Rub chalk on grease stains prior to washing. Apply butter or margarine to chocolate stains, let set at least 15 minutes and wash.

A father sea catfish keeps the eggs of his young in his mouth until they are ready to hatch. He will not eat until his young are born, which may take several weeks.

For a six-foot tall person, the horizon is about 3.1 miles away, using the formula SQRT(height above surface in feet / 0.5736) = distance to horizon.

If you use the formula SQRT(height above surface in feet / 5736), the horizon is only 158 feet away.

Just in case you didn't know...

    1 x 1 = 1
    11 x 11 = 121
    111 x 111 = 12321
    1111 x 1111 = 1234321
    11111 x 11111 = 123454321
    111111 x 111111 = 12345654321
    1111111 x 1111111 = 1234567654321
    11111111 x 11111111 = 123456787654321
    111111111 x 111111111=12345678987654321

No fair decimals are just used to confuse and bewilder

Not everything could also be something. For example, not everything could be half of something, which is still something and therefore not nothing. I would like to imagine that it is true.

Anyone have any cost cutting energy ideas out of the box?

    1. Pizza delivery.
    2. Get a moped
    3. Cut fat intake. I have lose26 pounds in about 5 months. Grocery bill is way down.
    4. Goodwill has great deals
    5. Ebay and Craigslist is your friend
    6. Use automotive hand cleaner from Dollar Genreral for grease stains on clothes.
    7. Raise your deductible on your vehicles and drive slower.
    8. Do every repair on your home and personal property yourself.
    9. Get a woodburner for your home and look for free firewood to cut. don't buy a logsplitter. Do it yourself.

If you combine mango and cod-liver oil in a blender and then pour it over ice, you'll wish you hadn't.
