Colt spear point knife ID/value

I'm trying to ID and get a value on a knife my BIL gave me a couple years ago. Its a Colt fixed blade knife, double edged like a dirk, 6" blade and a 4 5/8" handle made of black rubber (I guess) and some kinda gray harder stuff. There's a colt pony in the handle and "Colt USA " on the blade . It says CTB stainless steel on the blade as well.Came with a black leather sheath with a snap keeper and a belt/boot clip on the back.
Can anyone give me an idea how much its worth? I'll try and get some pics up soon.

colt knife value?

I think you are referring to the model that looks like a gerber mark 1. I have seen one in a local gun shop selling for around $30 if I remember right. I am not sure but the steel is probably 440 series steel.

It does look like the gerber mk 1. I'm gonna take it up to the 1500 and sell it there.
