    Hello everyone,

I was wondering, have ANY of you seen/heard of a left hand twist barrel in a Colt Government Issue M1911A1 .45 ACP!?!?! I bought mine back in November of 08, off an ex Marine Corps Major(I traced the serial number back, it was made in 1944 some time), and to my knowledge, he didn't change anything on the gun at all while he has had it(He has had it since he was 17 years old, and, no, it was not his personal side arm in the USMC). What research I have done, I can't find any information on the direction of twist, only the rate. If I can get a half decent picture, I will post it! If anyone could help me, PLEASE do!
